Hmm, that was very puzzling reading indeed, even though some of the twists we should know already. Nice that you are going to Durlag tower, I hope you will fit it in the plot in the most interesting manner. Wonder what role is demon going to play?

Good fight in the Cloackwood mine as well. Where did I hear that one about killing the mouthy one? :)

Edwin is as fussy around her as he can be, and the only one who does not know how obvious it is! Good scene with Jaheira and her healing.

Oh, and I liked the description of the Haste spell a lot. Enjoyable installment! Looking forward for more.

PS

Sorry I cannot comment on all of them. I have real trouble brewing at work now. :-)

*grin* Hmmm...think I'll have to frame this and put it over my desk at work. :(

> "It will not", Edwin said, his face set with grim resolution.

> "I will not let it. I will let no harm come to you. (Not to…either of

> you. No matter what I have to do to achieve it.)"

Oooo, protective!

> "What was that?" Rini said, since she hadn't caught the last

> part, uttered in an inaudible whisper as it was.

> "Nothing. I…simply stated that under my…contract to serve you I am

> obliged to do what I can to protect your interests. That was all. Yes.

> That's all it was."

Yes. That's all it was. We believe you, Eddie. NOT.

> "I'm sure I could do it!" Imoen said. "It's a very daring

> and roguish thing to do, isn't it? Swim the river, climb the palisade,

> then sneak silently past all the guards and let the rest of you guys

> in."

Just don't sit down.

> "Yes", Edwin said sarcastically. "Maybe we can just call

> out 'Friends!' and the guards will open the door for us."

Now where have I heard that before? ;D

> "Child", Jaheira said, "you are starting to frighten

> me."

Ah, Jaheira -- you should have been frightened long ago!

> "Go away , Edwin", Jaheira snapped. "You are bothering me.

> Just let me do my work in peace. Stop fussing."

> "That does it", Jaheira said. Her smile turned wicked. "I

> suggest you step aside right this moment. If I am to heal this wound

LOL! Run, Eddie, run!

> Jaheira's wink was almost imperceptible. "Perhaps", she said.

> "Perhaps not. Either way it worked. It got me the necessary peace and

> quiet at least. She chuckled to herself. "Objective concern

> indeed."

Indeed. *big grin* Glad I caught up with your story before the quiz changed!

I'll certainly try. :(

It was in the game, don't know if it's a reference to anything else.

Thank you! :)

No problem, I quite understand. Hope things ease up for you real soon. :)

I'd be honored. :(

Oh yes. He has a very strong protective streak when it comes to those he cares about.

Next chapter once the quiz changes. An Edwin POV, and another one of those angsty dreams... Thanks for the comments!

You're lucky you have an idea of why Rini is going. I have no idea why Narri went to DT before facing off with Sarry - it just wouldn't fit in having her go there after because of both team makeup & the idea that Irenicus grabbed them barely out of site of BG's walls.

One wonders what he made of the Wizard of Swords.

> Imoen looked a little sad for a moment. "Yeah", she said.

> "See, I'd filched the keys already, but the door was barred and he

> "Child", Jaheira said, "you are starting to frighten

She's a Bhaalspawn, you stupid druid. A cheerful, silly, sweet Bhaalspawn, but a Bhaalspawn nonetheless.

> Oh, just great ! Even more assassins! Will it never end? "You

Yes, sister! *high fives Rini*

I'm surprised that wasn't an incentive for him to stay. *smirk*

> One wonders what he made of the Wizard of Swords.

He doesn't know of Winski's existence, but next chapter will be an Edwin POV and we'll get to see what he's thinking about at the moment. And dreaming about...

> Yes, sister! *high fives Rini*

Rini: *high fives back* Thanks, brother!

> I like Haste, trouble is it ages you.

That's true. If that was actually implemented in the game all my characters would be positively ancient by now. ;-)

> I'm surprised that wasn't an incentive for him to stay. *smirk*

*grin* Well, I'm sure he'd have loved that, if he'd been able to think straight. As it was, he was sort of stunned.
