I have been thinking, lately, that no matter how much money you have or your position in society, everyone probably has a few of the same problems. And, of course, we'll all die someday. Death, the great equalizer...

I hadn't really realized that I put that in the tale. Just goes to show how the mind composts everything for writing.

Thanks!

Particularly when she does the "help the needy" line INSIDE HER OWN KEEP! I got the "hate cities" line today and all I really wanted to respond was "I hate Nalia, she's clinging to my back and making me feel really unfortunate."

Rogues do it from behind.

YAY!!! Happy B. Day! Now you can start celebrating the anniversary of this one. ;)

Very nice opening dream sequence. Cool.

Nice twist on her tale. No pun intended.

And a great connection here. Liked this story a lot. Gave a good growing experience to Nalia, and delved deep into her mind.

I know I saw another typo/extra word up there somewhere on my first read through as well, but I can't find it now. Seemed like it was at the beginning somewhere. Sorry.

Happy belated birthday!!

This was a great read! Nalia was never a character I liked, something about her always just got to me, and I would boot her out of the party as soon as I was done with her quest. I actually felt sorry for her here.

I like Renai alot. My main character is an archer too, so maybe I'm a little biased to start ;) I hope we see more of her!

LOL!

There's an entire language out there that women have at their disposal. The arched brow, the tapping foot, the hard-eyed glare...not to mention the hands on the hips! Fortunately for me, my boyfriend is a smart guy and he knows all these signals well. ;)

I'm starting to become a great fan of character development. :)

I'll go hunting for it before I post on my story page. Thanks!

I was kind of surprised where we ended up. I never really liked Nalia much either, and I hadn't really planned to take her in this direction. It's amazing where the pen (or keyboard, in my case) will take you if you just put your faith in it.

I love archers, probably because I'd love to be one myself! (I've been looking around for lessons, but I've only found bow hunting lessons, not actual archery, and since I'll never hunt unless civilization ends, well ...) I'm particularly fond of the 3rd Edition D&D prestige class of Arcane Archers, and if I can figure it out properly, I'll be putting Renai on that path. This should be fun. Stay tuned! :)
