Wow, this is a self-absorbed post! But it's important to me that I ask anyway.
After suffering writer's block for about 10 years, I've finally gotten an idea for a series, but I'm not sure anyone would be interested in reading it. Usually, I'd just write it anyway, but I've also got (for the first time in... well, ever actually) a few OTHER ideas, and I'd rather spend my time writing a story people would actually be interested in reading. So while this one is the one I'm maybe leaning toward writing now, if people aren't really interested, that's okay and I'll play with the other one instead.
How's that for convoluted?
Anyway, basically it would be yet another series that runs the course of the game, starting, actually, a little before the game actually begins. The problem is, with all the (really good!) serials with the same premise, I'm wondering if anyone would really be interested in following *another* one, especially because my protagonist is an evil bastich of a character. I've noticed a preferance on the board for the nicer type of character, and I'm not sure anyone wants to follow my horrible meanie of a guy. Well, he's not actually mean, but he IS evil as all get out.
So what do you think? Would anyone want to follow another game-length serial, about an evil character, to boot? Would an evil character be a welcome change, or would he make people uncomfortable?
This is all assuming I can actually keep up his weird writing style for the entire length of the story to begin with (it's the PC from Symphony, if anyone remembers that.)
