Oooh, yeah, I wonder the same thing myself. Too bad I have no idea how to post pics, though most of mine are from the game, not customs. Takka, as I said before, has Alora's old pic, and Fallan (if anyone remembers him) used Kivan's pic, even though he can't use a bow and his skin is almost black. My other character, Pandora (who I have yet to write a story about) uses the female bard pic from IWD, the one sitting on the railing with the dark hair. :)

I wonder what Do'Quak uses?

You know, from your stories, that's almost exactly how I pictured her. You've done a very good job describing her.

The computer with the edited picture is in the shop. 8(

So, here's a quick-and-dirty crop of the original Royo painting. Jeala's game was almost finished when I stumbled across this and shouted "That's her!"

I agree with Arelius - only I did imagine her with slightly longer hair, perhaps chin length. ;)

Actually, I just use one of the generic portraits from BG1 for Jaycen. He's the blonde guy in platemail against the blue background. Checkout the Introduction page to History of the Fateful Coin if you don't know which one I'm talking about (and you can also check out Jaycen's stats before all the tomes and tears of Bhaal).

I know it's not very original, but that one just jumped right out at me and I've yet to find another portrait on the net that I feel fits him better.

As for Jaycen's voice, I recorded my own custom paladin voice set, so Jaycen sounds like me.

Aha! I knew it! How did I know that? It's the "generic paladin" pic, shiny armor, kinda hunky... yeah, that's the ticket. ;P

Ooh, zan will give this a try. Borrowing some webspace, here's hoping it works ;)

There should be two pictures of Zelgadis here - the one I used for BG, and the one I used for BG2 (I like to think the PC would get a little bit older between the two games. Admittedly, the game lore says that it was only a few months...but I still switched portraits. Anyway, it took zan a *lot* longer to complete BG than most people :))

Hey, it worked! Who's the big bad HTML demon? (Here's a clue: it isn't me)

Haven't messed with setting up a pic before, but my BG1 Arelius used a cool pic of a fighter with silver armor on, including full face plate. Looked like the Silver Surfer. My BG2 Arelius, well, he looks a lot like Anomen, and Anomen just doesn't look himself anymore. ;)

Oh, and Nastramas, he looks a lot like Valygar. Sorry ladies.

as i can't bothered to import my own portraits, and most of the ones on the net are wearing chain-amil bikinis i just use the one of viconia...didn't know who she was at first, but was the only vagualy normal looking woman without armour (a big no-no for a kensai:))...it's weird 'cos i chose her portrait in bg1 as well...

The one that's all shiny and kneeling?

I have no problem with either of those references. :)

No, this was another one where he's standing and looking away. I think he had a cape on as well. It may actually be the same character if I'm remembering the one your refering too, just another angle.

> I have no problem with either of those references. :)

Thank'e. I really liked that bard picture from IWD too. And the red-headed fighter, and the cute little mage, and the... :)

I must confess to unoriginality, too. For Silrana I use one of the female portraits from BG1, luckily one of the two that aren't NPCs. It's the red-haired woman in armor holding her sword up by her face. After I learned how to do custom portraits, I considered changing it, but I'd gotten used to it. Besides, she does look like what I'd picture Silrana looking like anyway, so it was good luck I guess. I'll see if I can do something about showing you the pictures I've picked for the others.

Arrrgh! Why did you have to ask NOW? :)

Nevermind me, I'm just whining because I haven't gotten my wacom tablet in, and I've been meaning to paint myself a Darvith for a while now.

::cries::

Currently, he's just using a photo of some actor, which irritates me, but I've never found a painting any better.

Aw heck, maybe when I finish painting him, I'll post it anyway.

I used the same portrait from BG1, a pic of Mel Gibson as William Wallace, for BG2 and my 'Stilgar' character.

A side note, I also replaced some of the NPC's in BG1: Khalid with Adrian Paul from Highlander, I think Lucy Lawless (Xena) for Jaheira, Hudson Leick (Callisto) for Branwen, Sandra Bullock (general head shot) for Imoen.

In BG2 I've liked the art for the NPC's so much I haven't changed them...

For Patricia, I just used one of the portraits of off Nightshade's site. I think it was probably off the cover of one of Elizabeth Moon's Paksenarrion books. *shrugs* It was the monkest thing I could find that wasn't too "Eastern". (Not to mention it's a woman in sensible clothing.) Not too close to Patricia as described, though.
