And will Groder make a poor decision? More inside! Please enjoy!
Beloved Child 36
As Valygar stepped out into the sun and saw the slums of Athkatla, he thought it was the most beautiful sight he had ever seen. After returning to the room where they had confronted Lavok, Nalia had managed to figure out how to start the sphere again.
Valygar felt disquieted, he had faced Lavok and Lavok was now dead. The last of his family’s madness had ended and yet he felt as hollow as he always had. In a flash the dark ranger came to realize that he had nothing left, his crusade had ended with the beatings of far flung wings. There had been a woman once but she was long gone now. He wondered what happened to Suna Seni. As he stood brooding, Jaheira addressed him.
“Listen to me, Valygar. Your family’s madness is not yours and to deny yourself life because of a fear that it may or may not affect you in the future is… not a way to live.”
He looked at the druid; her point was short and precise. He knew he had not lived a life but existed in a dead zone obsessed with things he could not change. Realization struck him again, that he had changed something. Whatever plans the thing that wore Lavok`s skin may have had would have affected people here and he had in effect saved them. A thought wormed its way into his head. Maybe he should see if he could find Suna. Yes, that was something he could do, that was something to live for.

Selling most of the items they had taken from the planar sphere proved to be profitable. Jaheira had to push Ribald away from the counter where they had displayed the items they wanted to sell as he had begun drooling on some of them in excitement. They left the adventurers mart with heavier coin purses then when they entered. They portioned off a small sum to Korgan. He grabbed the bag, took out a coin and bit it. The dwarf nodded and said.
“Seems good tae me, now I just have to find me old crew and make sure they don’t stand up tomorrow.” He turned to Groder. “Not bad for a half days work.” He said. “I like ye lad, remind me of some of me relatives. If ye want a skull or two broken and are ready to pay for it look me up. Ye can usually find me at the Copper Coronet.”
With that the dwarf disappeared into the crowds of the promenade. Groder turned towards the party.
“Well, that all went very well; we have enough gold for the leeches and a lot to spare for us!” He smiled. “Since we are at the promenade why don’t we rest, eat and spend a little on ourselves?” He placed a finger on his chin and looked like he was musing. “We could take a hundred or two hundred each, yes that should cover it.”
“Very well, it is not a poor idea.” Jaheira said. “I will give you the gold however.”
“Ohh… I need new ink and parchment and maybe a scroll or two.” Nalia began counting off on her fingers.
Yoshimo laughed.
“We shall have to eat and we need new clothes as well.” He said and pulled at one loose frayed sleeve.
“Good idea, I need to get some new clothes as well.” Groder said.
“I can make some suggestions.” Haer`Dalis offered and took a critical eye to Groder.
“I will have to go with one of you.” Viconia reminded them; she ran her hands through her smooth silver hair that flowed freely down her shoulders and back. She had not worn the hood and cloak for sometime. Passers-by shot her quick distrustful and fearful looks.
“Maybe it is better if we went together.” Jaheira suggested.
Nalia and Yoshimo had already gotten their gold from Jaheira and the pair had melted into the crowds. Groder had been planning on some alone time but it seemed to have evaporated so he said:
“Let’s head off to the clothes stores shall we?”
Said and done, the four headed deeper into the Promenade. By Groders prodding and dragging they found themselves in a better kind of clothes store. The stores attendant was a bony older woman whom tired heroically to block the four from the view of her other customers. Some smiles and coins later, the woman sent off two employees to the Five Flagons carrying bundles of clothes.
They ended up sitting around a table among many others that stood on a wooden platform in the south-eastern part of the promenade. The general idea of that place was to serve food to the people that visited the promenade and it worked very well.
“Good thing I managed to coax you down from the roofs.” Groder addressed the fifth person that sat by the table. With out her hood, long dark but greasy hair framed Sime`s pale face.
“I am not some alley cat.” She said and waved her fork at him. “I only took the offer because you said you managed to gather up the fee.”
“Yes, finally.” The boy answered and stuffed a piece of chicken into his mouth.
They ate and spoke of frivolous things, letting them ease into what was a rest of its own. When they where finished Sime pulled her hood back on and addressed them.
“I will go and tell the shadow master that you have our fee.” She bowed curtly. “I will return.”
The four companions met up with Nalia and Yoshimo outside the circumference of the promenade. They where both carrying bundles and Yoshimo told them, honest smile never leaving his face that Nalia had not allowed him to be gallant and had demanded that she carry some packages as well. Nalia had laughed at this and said that Yoshimo was gallant in other ways.
“Ah!” Haer`Dalis sighed as they where walking back towards the Five Flagons in the encroaching dusk. “Young love is so inspiring.” The bard went on. “It reminds me that our dear Raven and Crow need to get back to repetitions.”
“Stop referring to me as a bird, jaluk.” Viconia answered. “How do you intend for us to take an active part in your play and conduct our more pressing business at the same time?”
“Well, we have the gold now so that problem is out of the way.” Groder shrugged. “Now the thieves have to deliver.”
“You don’t think it will be that easy, Groder?” Jaheira asked.
“Why not?” Groder asked in return.
“They are in a war; don’t you think they will try to get some more use out of us?” Jaheira looked at the boy.
“I hope you are wrong.” Groder said sulkily.
**
The Five Flagons was as always crowded as the evening came creeping around. Samuel told the party that their rooms where undisturbed but that another payment for next week was due. Jaheira paid the Halfling and the party went upstairs.
As they entered the shared common room Groder turned towards the party after dumping his axe on the table. In the far end of the room, a fire burned in the fireplace.
“You know.” He said. “It seems like things are finally getting better again.”
The boy registered a soft thump behind him. A powerful arm wrapped around his throat and a blade was pressed against it. It went so fast that his companions took a short while for his companions to grab their weapons. The boy caught a glimpse of the tea-coloured skin of the arm that held him. Jaheira voiced the fear inside of him.
“So, burning your ship and killing your sorcerer was not enough?” She asked.
The body pressing against his back was slight but powerful. He also became acutely aware that is was a girl’s body. Groder felt the girl’s hot breath on his neck and suddenly her mouth touched it. The girl ignored the party completely and he felt her grab a hold of the back of his tunic with her teeth and pulling it back. She released it and then spoke for the first time.
“Tch” The girl snorted behind him. “He has already marked you and he will return to claim his prize.” Her voice was imperious but also hid jubilation.
She released Groder and pushed him forward. When he spun around, the girl had already sat down in a chair, legs crossed. Groder found that she looked very much like the Malatrans that had kidnapped him some weeks earlier. She wore a pair of loose silk pants and a silk tunic that from what he had felt when she had pressed against him hid a powerful body. The girl’s dark hair neatly split into two long dark braids that ended tied to golden loops. The mirth that played on her lips was reflected in her dark eyes. There hung about her a certain air of superiority that almost reflected his.
“You better give me a good reason as to why I should not kill you right now.” The boy growled and got a dagger out of his belt.
“You would fail and I would rob Ganishuka of his prize but I have no desire to kill you.” She replied. “I am not like those thousand worms living in human flesh.”
Groder raised an eyebrow and chuckled.
“You are alone and there are six of us.” He pointed the end of the dagger towards the girl.
The girl snorted derisively.
“Only so many?” She taunted.
Haer`Dalis barked a laugh and Vicona said to the girl.
“You are truly a fool if you think you will leave here alive.”
Hiranmayi extended her hand and curved her index finger back and forth as if calling a dog.
“Come to Hiranmayi then and we shall see who the fool is.” She taunted.
“I am forced to agree with Viconia, little girl.” Jaheira said. “You better stop taunting us and start explaining yourself.”
“Tch!” Hiranmayi lifted her head in an imperious gesture. “I have told you I am here to see Ganishuka fail. He wants the boy and I shall make sure the demon does not get him.”
“And I told you the sorcerer is dead.” Jaheira retorted. “He was pulled down into the sea.”
“Am I the only confused one here.” Groder cut in and waved his dagger around. “Are we talking to the crazy girl or killing her?”
“Sit down, boy!” Hiranmayi commanded.
Groder raised an eyebrow again.
“My name is Groder not boy.” He said.
The girl kicked out a chair.
“Sit down, Groder.” She said “First we talk and then maybe I kill.”
Groder sat down not taking his eyes of the girl. His anger was actually beginning to cool off, curiosity taking its place and an annoying part of him admitted that the girl was kind of cute. He watched the girl; she sat relaxed in the chair like she was in her own home. She seemed to hold no fear at all. Hiranmayi once more turned her attention to Jaheira.
“You think Ganishuka will die from that, you think burning his ship will stop him?” She asked. “A rival once flung Ganishuka burning from his own tower. The rival thought Ganishuka dead but days later the demon sorcerer appeared again, struck the rival down and as the rival lay paralysed, adorned him with the flesh of his lovers and...”
“We understand!” Nalia interrupted her face ashen. Yoshimo nodded.
“You do not.” Hiranmayi stated. “But you will see when he returns.”
“And exactly what can you do against him then little girl, if he is so powerful?” Viconia mocked still having her flail and shield raised. “Will he wilt from your ridiculous bravado or will you cry him into submission?”
Hiranmayi waved a hand in a nonchalant manner that reminded Groder of his own mannerisms.
“Actually I would like to know that as well.” The boy said feeling left out of the discussion. Groder kept looking at the girl; she behaved like an empress overlooking her squabbling court. And if she was the empress then he was the amused emperor.
“I said nothing of slaying Ganishuka.” Hiranmayi answered and then looked at Groder. “I will merely make sure he cannot claim his prise and hurt him enough so that my master can deal with him later.”
“Hold on!” Groder said dagger and anger now forgotten. “First of all, I am not a piece of meat so stop referring to me as his prize.”
“You are a prize to him.” Hiranmayi stated calmly.
“And what am I to you?” He challenged.
“An annoying boy whom should mind his betters!” The girl smiled.
Groder barked a short laughter.
“Fine, fine!” He cried and then looked at the party.” Let’s not kill her just now right? I think this will be fun.”
“Excellent idea, My Raven!” Haer`Dalis cried and put away his weapons. “Her insolence is most refreshing.” The bard danced into the room and produced a wine bottle from somewhere on his person. Nalia exhaled and was visibly relived.
“Wait!” Jaheira said she had moved closer to the chair Groder sat in and still had her staff ready. “You can’t seriously mean you are just going to trust this girl, Groder?”
“I agree with Jaheira!” Viconia growled and hovered the Flail of Ages over Groder`s head. “I say we slay the insolent little wael!”
“Wait, wait!” Groder waved a hand in the air. “She is interesting and she said she would not kill me. Besides, she can’t take all of us even if she would try.”
Hiranmayi hummed and then stood. Both Jaheira and Viconia still hovered over Groder looking very displeased.
“I do not think this is very wise, Groder.” Jaheira said and eyed Hiranmayi.
“Tch, tch… go away old women.” Hiranmayi waved her arms like she was shooing animals away. “He has said his wishes and they are for Hiranmayi to stay.” The two women glared at her, partly in disbelief, partly in mounting anger. “Such poor behaviour, go away lecherous ones.” Hiranmayi shooed again.
“What do you mean lecherous!?” Jaheira yelled.
“You fall over him like hungry dogs would protect their meal.” The girl replied.
“Right!” Groder yelled and stood up quickly. “Why don’t you talk to Haer`Dalis, he is the man with the tattoos. I think he wants to talk to you. He can tell you about what we have been doing and such” He said to Hiranmayi and turned to the two women that stood behind his chair. Groder hooked his arms into each of theirs.
“Ladies, let`s sit down and cool our heads off.” He began trying to drag the two women away from Hiranmayi.

People will be happy to know that two characters will now leave this story never to be seen again or will they?

Yay! I’d replace Haer with him as soon as possible, that lout is useless.

Meh, wasn’t quite sure what was meant here… she says she’s giving her share back?

The stores attendant was a bony older woman whom tired heroically to block the four from the view of her other customers. What, Groder didn’t want to spend several hours trying them on? I’m shocked.
They ate and spoke of frivolous things, letting them ease into what was a rest of its own. When they where finished Sime pulled her hood back on and addressed them.
I can never understand why thieves would want to wear a hood in bright daylight… wouldn’t they actually stand out in the crowds?

“Ah!” Haer`Dalis sighed as they where walking back towards the Five Flagons in the encroaching dusk. “Young love is so inspiring.”
Ewww. *grimaces* Shaddap you dumbass bard.

“They are in a war; don’t you think they will try to get some more use out of us?” Jaheira looked at the boy.
“I hope you are wrong.” Groder said sulkily.
Laugh! Jaheira wrong? Don’t hold your breath for that to happen.

“You know.” He said. “It seems like things are finally getting better again.”
The boy registered a soft thump behind him. A powerful arm wrapped around his throat and a blade was pressed against it.
He should learn to keep his mouth shut.

“You better give me a good reason as to why I should not kill you right now.” The boy growled and got a dagger out of his belt.
It’d mess up your room?
“Am I the only confused one here.” Groder cut in and waved his dagger around. “Are we talking to the crazy girl or killing her?”
Kill first, talk later.

Groder sat down not taking his eyes of the girl. His anger was actually beginning to cool off, curiosity taking its place and an annoying part of him admitted that the girl was kind of cute.
Oh my, Viconia and Haer’Dalis have a rival.
“Actually I would like to know that as well.” The boy said feeling left out of the discussion. Groder kept looking at the girl; she behaved like an empress overlooking her squabbling court. And if she was the empress then he was the amused emperor.
She seems really full of bull…

“Excellent idea, My Raven!” Haer`Dalis cried and put away his weapons. “Her insolence is most refreshing.” The bard danced into the room and produced a wine bottle from somewhere on his person.
Okay: a hint. If Haer agrees with something, then yes, that means it was a Really Bad Idea.
Is she… umm, insane?
“Ladies, let`s sit down and cool our heads off.” He began trying to drag the two women away from Hiranmayi.
I still say they should have just killed her. I know, I know, bloodstains are a murder on the carpet… but still!

They will... until the Author decides otherwise!People will be happy to know that two characters will now leave this story never to be seen again or will they?
As for me, Korgan may return just for long enough to be gruesomely killed.

Yay Jaheira! Yay Character Progression!“Listen to me, Valygar. Your family’s madness is not yours and to deny yourself life because of a fear that it may or may not affect you in the future is… not a way to live.”
Nice detail! She had not worn the hood and cloak for sometime. Passers-by shot her quick distrustful and fearful looks.
Mwahaha! (I adore characters spending money on clothes. And good food. So, this whole section gets my complete, total approval. Nothing like going shopping after completing a quest!)The stores attendant was a bony older woman whom tired heroically to block the four from the view of her other customers.
“Ah!” Haer`Dalis sighed as they where walking back towards the Five Flagons in the encroaching dusk. “Young love is so inspiring.” The bard went on. “It reminds me that our dear Raven and Crow need to get back to repetitions.”

Not a chance, Bhaal-son.“I hope you are wrong.” Groder said sulkily.

The way you're writing her, she's more than a kindred soul. She's a twin soul. There hung about her a certain air of superiority that almost reflected his.

Haer'Dalis' Special Ability: Conjure Wine.“Excellent idea, My Raven!” Haer`Dalis cried and put away his weapons. “Her insolence is most refreshing.” The bard danced into the room and produced a wine bottle from somewhere on his person. Nalia exhaled and was visibly relived.

So, quests have come to an end... I'm wondering what the next chapter will be. Ganishuka Act II? Hiranmayi? The thieves? Ah, the possibilities, the possibilities...

Nooooo!

You are making Haer sad...

Meh, wasn’t quite sure what was meant here… she says she’s giving her share back?
Ah... She meant that she would distribute the gold so that no one would get funny ideas about taking more then they should.

They could if they had a necromancer!
Groder sat down not taking his eyes of the girl. His anger was actually beginning to cool off, curiosity taking its place and an annoying part of him admitted that the girl was kind of cute.

Yep, a self appointed one!

Depends on how you see it, you may have notcied she is an overconfident little minx.
“Excellent idea, My Raven!” Haer`Dalis cried and put away his weapons. “Her insolence is most refreshing.” The bard danced into the room and produced a wine bottle from somewhere on his person.

No, she just assumed some things about Viconia and Jaheira from the way they behaved.
“Ladies, let`s sit down and cool our heads off.” He began trying to drag the two women away from Hiranmayi.
I still say they should have just killed her. I know, I know, bloodstains are a murder on the carpet… but still!
Sorry, she will be around for a while longer.

Oh, Korgan may yet return...
“Listen to me, Valygar. Your family’s madness is not yours and to deny yourself life because of a fear that it may or may not affect you in the future is… not a way to live.”
Yay Jaheira! Yay Character Progression!
Finally! I needed to send him off on a good note
She had not worn the hood and cloak for sometime. Passers-by shot her quick distrustful and fearful looks.
Nice detail!
Thank you!
The stores attendant was a bony older woman whom tired heroically to block the four from the view of her other customers.
Mwahaha! (I adore characters spending money on clothes. And good food. So, this whole section gets my complete, total approval. Nothing like going shopping after completing a quest!)
Heh, thank you again. Glad you liked it.
“Ah!” Haer`Dalis sighed as they where walking back towards the Five Flagons in the encroaching dusk. “Young love is so inspiring.” The bard went on. “It reminds me that our dear Raven and Crow need to get back to repetitions.”
(Although those are probably rehearsals.)
Yep... rehearsals.
“I hope you are wrong.” Groder said sulkily.
Not a chance, Bhaal-son.![]()
Nope!

There hung about her a certain air of superiority that almost reflected his.
The way you're writing her, she's more than a kindred soul. She's a twin soul.![]()
They are somewhat alike yes.

“Excellent idea, My Raven!” Haer`Dalis cried and put away his weapons. “Her insolence is most refreshing.” The bard danced into the room and produced a wine bottle from somewhere on his person. Nalia exhaled and was visibly relived.
Haer'Dalis' Special Ability: Conjure Wine.I'm enchanted already.

I really, really hope that she knows what she's doing and that she's as good as she says she is! Jaheira is already on the verge of leaving this group, and Viconia isn't, I think, above trying to murder her in sleep!
So, quests have come to an end... I'm wondering what the next chapter will be. Ganishuka Act II? Hiranmayi? The thieves? Ah, the possibilities, the possibilities...
Well, Jaheira still has Imoen to think off but Viconia is going to be displeased to say the least. She and Hiranmayi may get to square of at one point.
The next chapter will be kind of a filler chapter to kick off the next arc.

Heh, never had Valygar in the party long enough to learn about his romantic interest. Perhaps she will make him less grumpy.
That's why I like Korgan!“Seems good tae me, now I just have to find me old crew and make sure they don’t stand up tomorrow.”

If memory serves, Amn is mostly human's country. Even normal elf is a rara avis, and, I suspect, isn't popular one too.“I will have to go with one of you.” Viconia reminded them; she ran her hands through her smooth silver hair that flowed freely down her shoulders and back. She had not worn the hood and cloak for sometime. Passers-by shot her quick distrustful and fearful looks.

Well, it is an easier way to spy on someone...“Good thing I managed to coax you down from the roofs.” Groder addressed the fifth person that sat by the table. With out her hood, long dark but greasy hair framed Sime`s pale face.
You will be dismayed by the amount of battles with IrenicusThe boy registered a soft thump behind him.

Gods, she is more arrogant than Anomen and Edwin combined! By the way, where are all those crazy freaks come from? Kara-Tur?“You better give me a good reason as to why I should not kill you right now.” The boy growled and got a dagger out of his belt.
Good villains don't die that easily“And I told you the sorcerer is dead.” Jaheira retorted. “He was pulled down into the sea.”

He doesn't think small, does he? Two kids with megalomania...“Actually I would like to know that as well.” The boy said feeling left out of the discussion. Groder kept looking at the girl; she behaved like an empress overlooking her squabbling court. And if she was the empress then he was the amused emperor.
Well, if I were her I wouldn't say that to people I intend to cooperate with. Especially to drow, since this race actually uses poison and other effective tactics. She either has ~lvl 15+, has death wish, insane or stupid.“Tch, tch… go away old women.” Hiranmayi waved her arms like she was shooing animals away.
His job as a leader will be much harder now, I suspect.

Heh, never had Valygar in the party long enough to learn about his romantic interest. Perhaps she will make him less grumpy.
Suna was cut from the game so I don`t think it was mentioned. There is a mod out that restores her and other cut content.
“Seems good tae me, now I just have to find me old crew and make sure they don’t stand up tomorrow.”
That's why I like Korgan!![]()

“I will have to go with one of you.” Viconia reminded them; she ran her hands through her smooth silver hair that flowed freely down her shoulders and back. She had not worn the hood and cloak for sometime. Passers-by shot her quick distrustful and fearful looks.
If memory serves, Amn is mostly human's country. Even normal elf is a rara avis, and, I suspect, isn't popular one too..
Well, regular elves don`t have the reputation of the Drow.
“Good thing I managed to coax you down from the roofs.” Groder addressed the fifth person that sat by the table. With out her hood, long dark but greasy hair framed Sime`s pale face.
Well, it is an easier way to spy on someone...
And getting free food!

The boy registered a soft thump behind him. A powerful arm wrapped around his throat and a blade was pressed against it. It went so fast that his companions took a short while for his companions to grab their weapons. The boy caught a glimpse of the tea-coloured skin of the arm that held him. Jaheira voiced the fear inside of him.“So, burning your ship and killing your sorcerer was not enough?” She asked.
You will be dismayed by the amount of battles with Irenicus.
Yep, those mages are a presistant bunch.
Gods, she is more arrogant than Anomen and Edwin combined! By the way, where are all those crazy freaks come from? Kara-Tur?
Yep, Kara-Tur. A place called Malatra to be specific. That country seems to have dissapeared between the first editon of the Kara-Tur source books and the current ones. It was a sort of Laos, Indian like nation.
“And I told you the sorcerer is dead.” Jaheira retorted. “He was pulled down into the sea.”
Good villains don't die that easilyPlus, mages have fly, water breathing, teleport and all that stuff.
This villan is especially hard to kill.
“Actually I would like to know that as well.” The boy said feeling left out of the discussion. Groder kept looking at the girl; she behaved like an empress overlooking her squabbling court. And if she was the empress then he was the amused emperor.
He doesn't think small, does he? Two kids with megalomania...
Don`t they make a cute couple?

“Tch, tch… go away old women.” Hiranmayi waved her arms like she was shooing animals away. “He has said his wishes and they are for Hiranmayi to stay.” The two women glared at her, partly in disbelief, partly in mounting anger. “Such poor behaviour, go away lecherous ones.” Hiranmayi shooed again.

Oh, Hiranmayi has no idea what a Drow is. And she is very arrogant and over confident.

Aw, I'm sorry to see him go. There's never enough Korgan.
“I will have to go with one of you.” Viconia reminded them; she ran her hands through her smooth silver hair that flowed freely down her shoulders and back. She had not worn the hood and cloak for sometime.
Yum!

Going to the clothes store with one or more females in the party? That's a recipe for disaster.
“You better give me a good reason as to why I should not kill you right now.” The boy growled and got a dagger out of his belt.
“You would fail and I would rob Ganishuka of his prize but I have no desire to kill you.” She replied. “I am not like those thousand worms living in human flesh.”
Hm, she's a strange one, alright.
“You are truly a fool if you think you will leave here alive.”
Hiranmayi extended her hand and curved her index finger back and forth as if calling a dog.
Oooh, big mistake there, girlie.
Wordy too.

“Wait!” Jaheira said she had moved closer to the chair Groder sat in and still had her staff ready. “You can’t seriously mean you are just going to trust this girl, Groder?”
Hm, is that wise?
“Tch, tch… go away old women.” Hiranmayi waved her arms like she was shooing animals away. “He has said his wishes and they are for Hiranmayi to stay.” The two women glared at her, partly in disbelief, partly in mounting anger. “Such poor behaviour, go away lecherous ones.” Hiranmayi shooed again.

And here I was hoping for a murder.

Well, he may be back one day.
“I will have to go with one of you.” Viconia reminded them; she ran her hands through her smooth silver hair that flowed freely down her shoulders and back. She had not worn the hood and cloak for sometime.

I wonder if Jaheira and Viconia are the shopping types? Groder is far worse then.

Oh yeah... Viconia is most displeased.
“You think Ganishuka will die from that, you think burning his ship will stop him?” She asked. “A rival once flung Ganishuka burning from his own tower. Heh... She likes her own voice

“Wait!” Jaheira said she had moved closer to the chair Groder sat in and still had her staff ready. “You can’t seriously mean you are just going to trust this girl, Groder?”
Hm, is that wise?
Since when was he wise?

“Tch, tch… go away old women.” Hiranmayi waved her arms like she was shooing animals away. “He has said his wishes and they are for Hiranmayi to stay.” The two women glared at her, partly in disbelief, partly in mounting anger. “Such poor behaviour, go away lecherous ones.” Hiranmayi shooed again.
Old women?! Well, yeah, I suppose Vic is in the 200 range, but still...
Well, they are both old to her!

“Ladies, let`s sit down and cool our heads off.” He began trying to drag the two women away from Hiranmayi.
And here I was hoping for a murder.
There might be attempted ones later.
