Thank you for continuing to post these. Watching Anomen evolve is a treat.

I half-expected Surayah to cast some spells (if I recall correctly, she was being tutored by Imoen?), but knives in the coiffure is quite in character too!

I never recruited Anomen in my long-ago playthrough of the game--searching, from this description of a Surayah mod, she only has two lines in the game.

I'm glad you've been enjoying it.  Surayah isn't taking magic lessons, that was mostly just a joke between them.  She has, however, been taking classes at the temple to make up some gaps in her education.

Thanks!  I wouldn't call it a recovery, because my ailments are permanent, but it helps to feel better.  I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter!

All right, after cooling down I contacted the person directly and told them I wanted A Cappella taken down.  They did so immediately, so I won't need to go through the site.  I will be keeping my eye on things to make sure it doesn't reappear.

I like the way you haven't fleshed out the characters of Anomen's novices. We know only as much as he does, which is as it should be. You've walked a fine line successfully between revealing too much, and making them too shadowy, anonymous foils to Anomen. And you've introduced the inevitable violence among them, given their internal conflicts, quite naturally.

I'm glad you're enjoying the way I've handled the characters.  Long time Atticers will tell you that one of my goals is to make every character, no matter how important or how minor, seem like a real person you could meet.  Thanks for commenting!

So this is still being updated. That's good news. I'd thought it was a victim of the mysterious illness that strikes so many fanfiction writers, killing them off before they can finish their serialized novels. (One need only look at fanfiction novels to see how often this happens!) Glad to see this isn't the case, and that however crabwise this canon proceeds forward, it is still moving in the right direction. Thanks for a very interesting and thought-provoking work!

For me, the illness was an actual physical one that knocked me out.  But I decided a while back not to post any more chapters until it was finished so that they wouldn't be dribbled out a little at a time.  It's not quite finished, but I plan to get it done during NaNo.  Thanks for commenting, and I'm glad you like Canon.
