Have you read this whole story?
I for my life didnt understand the end, what was it? A vision of what COULD have been instead, or something that happened afterwards?

I prefer to think of it simply as a dream vision of what could have been, and not what happened...happier that way

I think it was just the end part where he kills the man that was meant to be a dream. The rest really happened. I think.

Hey hey, I read the whole story back when it was originally posted.

It's purposefully left vague, I think. I love that story, even if it is ambiguous and frustrating. :-)

I agree. I _think_ that it does all happen (including the unhappy later ending), but I'm not quite sure...
