Meg is a 20 year old Australian university student, studying linguistics, philosophy and semiotics. She is pleased to have gotten mathematics and computer science out of the way for a while. She lives in Sydney with her partner and assorted housemates, in what some people claim is a nightmare of Linux boxen and Cat-5 cabling. That's only because they haven't been to some of her friends houses.

Her less glamourous moments include: losing her keys and wallet constantly, talking in her sleep and wailing at her computer.

She has never finished BG2 or Planescape Torment. Nor has she ever started Throne of Bhaal. One day she hopes she will, really.

Farewell, the Epic!

So you've been to the depths of Hell and back, scaled the mountains of love and despair, stared death in the face and emerged triumphant, or fallen dramatically? Such are the deeds of which bards are accustomed to sing, of which great epics are made.

But what of the more mediocre steps in your path? What of the archmage's tantrum when his precious robe is ripped? What of the great warrior when her feet are blistered? What of the thief when he hits his head on the doorframe? What of the compassionate priest and the noble paladin when they bicker over cooking duty?

Descend, oh bards, from the highs and lows of destiny and speak to us of the less heroic moments in the paths of your subjects. Tell of the pointless arguments, the constant whinging, the self-indulgent tears, the lack of caution. Speak to me of the moments at which your subject lacks their extraordinary heroism or unrepentant villainry. Show me their pettiness, their mean little fights and their most annoying habits.

Meg
