> Whee, dancing! 8)

I can't dance (OK, maybe I can pretend) but I can at least try to write about it.

> I like the description here. It's so... appropriate.

*g* Thanks.

> *snort* I'd expect no less of Morte.

Of course.

> Disapprovingly tolerant? Somehow, those two expressions seem contradictory

> to me. Still, I suppose that if anybody could manage such an appearance,

> Grace could.

Hmm. I was thinking an "Ooohhhh kaaaayyy, think that if you want" look.

> *snicker* Well, with the right kind of music, I'm sure he'd look good

> dancing.

I'm trying to imagine what sort of music that would be.

> So he's got whole closet full of loincloths now, does he? :)

Nah, just two. He tries to keep up some semblance of personal hygiene...

> I'm surprised Annah didn't make more of a comment there.

Yeah, I should have her say something more snide.

> Heh heh heh.

> Does he even know what a moon or a star looks like?

Ouch. You're right. Bad me. Probably his earlier incarnations would know (after all, the original incarnation of NO was a cartographer who traveled the Planes) but he wouldn't know unless he's had memories that have shown him.

> *snicker*

> Hmmm...

> Um... any reason you began the quote with an apostrophe?

Oops. Typo. Sorry.

> Probably wouldn't want to know.

I'm trying to figure out what sort of a life Annah would have had before meeting NO.

> Sounds... intense.

Indeed. It will get more so. ;)

> Awww... you didn't give the poor guy much dexterity? Can't do much about

> his appearance, but he's clumsy too?

No, I didn't. I played the game starting out with Dex 9 and I don't think I ever went above Dex 14. He's not terribly agile in my fics either.

> Poor, lovesick, Nameless sod.

Indeed.

> *snort* If I were him, I'd start getting irritated at Morte right about

> now.

He's used to it. And he's not bothering to be jealous, considering that Morte's not much of a rival. *g*

> Um... I'm a little confused here. Did you forget a quotation mark

> somewhere?

Yes. Another typo -- I'm sorry. Posted this at 5 AM, after all...

> Why do I doubt that that has anything to do with playing games?

heh, heh.

> Nice little story. 'Twas on the bittersweet side, even if it was not dark,

> but I suppose that with Torment, it would usually be one or the other.

Yes. Torment's a grim setting, and NO is not the cheeriest character.

> Och, but I must read your series at some point. Bloody, piking Neverwinter

> Nights has been giving me heck, though, so... ah, but I ramble. Again, it

> was a nice story, and is your serial up in the fan fiction section yet?

Thanks! Ooh, this makes me happy...

My old stories are up on the companion site. My new serial isn't yet.

> Heh, Morte is such a cute perv. ;p

Dirty old skulls are amusing.

> Mmm, sounds good. ;)

The night I wrote this, I had just gone out to a restaurant with my friends, including my friend Laura, who ordered a curious gold-orange beverage called "Daddy, I Don't Want to Drink This." I don't know what was in it -- however, it didn't look as intimidating as the bright-blue drink my friend Michiko ordered at the same place a couple months ago.

> Bubbling urine coloured whiskey? *shudder*

Annah: There, yeh've got more sense than he does. Or than I did, either. *shudder* I'm never goin' tae touch the stuff again!

Shudder, indeed. I actually got this from the game -- you can imbibe this dubious concoction in the Smoldering Corpse Bar. However, it doesn't have much of an effect on NO -- apparently he has quite a high tolerance for alcohol.

> Aww, he likes her alot. :)

He certainly does. *g*

-- Nemelle, who is going to STOP procrastinating and DO her homework, really.

> *sigh* This speciest knight is really asking for it.

Aye. Smug bastard.

> Andaire: I don't like this guy at all.

That's cause you are a good sort.

> LOL! Go Emilia! ;)

Emilia is very nice, but she does have her limits :)

> Hopefully I will be able to return to 'The Story', now that I got Jon out

> of my system. ;) Well, almost. Since I am planning another long novel

> about him and his life after the end of ToB/Ascension/Redemption. sigh

> It is going to be called 'Grey bitter ashes' or some such.

*drool* I am SO going to love it. I am playing BGII again, after a long time of not doing so, and merely hearing Jon's voice makes me feel for him. And I just know I'm going to bawl in the end scene.

You truly make his story alive.

Ah! The actor who made his soundtrack did a superb job. He is waaay too tragic for a supervillain.

>And I just know I'm going to bawl in the end scene.

When he is plunging into lava with tanar'ri all over him? Yes, it maketh me shiver.

'To end like this?'

> You truly make his story alive.

No need to bawl now. Just play through all of the ToB with Acsension and Redemption installed on top of it. You can save him if you so desire. ;) I hope you've got the mod.

And I am afraid to share any more on the new story since it is all in my head only so far.

Bye! Sorry your stint is over. ;) Your quiz topic (about what the party does in its free time) was inspired.

Take care...and hope RL gets better for you. :)

> That's brave of him.

That's the nature of little Gus, too innocent to know he's supposed to fear the Beast .

> Interesting ending.

Thankyou, the next chapter is where it all comes together though, Talon's future hangs in the balance.
