I'd like to recommend a good online workshop for science fiction and fantasy writers. It called Critters and is entirely free. To be a member in good standing (and thus, to have the right for your stories to be critiqued), you must maintain a certain participation ratio (that is, to keep critiquing the others' stories). Note, though, that Critters is mainly for original fiction, and not for fan fiction. For fan fiction, come here.
