I heard about those things but never found'em ... where are they ... ?

I tried this many times and it never happened to me. Maybe because my game was unpatched.

Never happened, how? No greater Glabrezu or no artifacts?

Most of the time they carry money (around 800 copper) and if it's an artifact, it's often the Aegis of Torment (fun for giving everyone in your party their Aegis .

Glabrezu - yes.

Money - yes.

Ultimate items - no way man.

Maybe it has something to do with another glabrezu you kill/don't kill while you are in Curst (earlier - Tek'elach in Curst Underground, cause if you don't kill him - you find him fighting with Agril-Shanak in Carceri - and Agril-Shanak doesn't have the magic item on him then - Aegis of Torment I think.)

So the one in the Undersigil may also have sth to do with it...dunno

Ok, I must admit the whole thing is true. But you must kill many and many Glabrezus and that takes time.

So, to make it faster, open CREFILES.BIF with hex editor, find "Trelon" (I think there are two or three occurences) and replace a few lies under that RNDTRE02 with RNDTRE05. Now, killed trelons will drop the same items like Glabrezu.
