For me, I usually listen to Opeth, Immortal, Maiden or something like that.
Do you listen to any music while listening/reading?

I usually listen to the stuff downloaded on my PC...
Its an odd combo of stuff ranging from Metallica to Enya...Fleetwood Mac, Enigma, Fiona Apple, the Cranberries, Soundgarden, STP, Nirvana, Luscious Jackson, Loreena McKennit
The celtic and new age stuff usually is the best for writing, good concentration and meditation music.

Different things depending on my mood and whether I am at college or at home. Sometimes whatever is on the radio (usually the lastest pop songs), sometimes slow romantic songs. But I prefer rock music and heavy metal, bands like Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Guns n Roses and so on. Strangely enough, listen to loud music helps me concentrate.

I listen to music on my headphones at work (where I do most of my writing).
At the moment it's Joe Satriani Surfing with the Alien
At other times recently
Garbage Version 2.0
Paul Simon Anthology
U2 Best of 1980-1990 & 1990-2000
Pink Floyd Momentary Lapse of Reason
Bruce Springsteen Greatest Hits
Tenacious D Self Titled
It's a bit of an eclectic mix.
