If you find an active torrent, lemme know, will you? I think I found one somewhere several months back, but I wasn't able to grab anything, and can't seem to find it, again.

It seems that mininova (love that site) has it:

http://www.mininova.org/tor/164467

4.38 Gb... that's going to take me about a week to get.

I'm pretty sure that's where I found it the first time, but the torrent went inactive (no seeders). Hmmm... well, we'll see if it still works, then, I guess.

Cutting into the buffer on this one, gang... but, well, I really should just stop complaining about that.

Whats a buffer?

“Let’s just get back to work.”

Imoen: I don't like hearing that 'W' word... why can't you call it fun instead?

Tarant: Here's a fun game. It's called cleaning up after yourself...

Imoen: Doesn't sound like fun. Are there any prizes or anything?

Tarant: I won't kick you through the window.

“I was just about to use my ‘Universal Key,’ “ she said as she put the finishing touches on her work. She rested the detonator for the charge near the deadbolt setup for the door and stepped back. The radio trigger she would use to activate the charge sat ready in her right hand. “Charges set and ready, One. Stand back, Sis… lest a razor-sharp metal shard pierce your balloonish head.”

Imoen: I'd be worried about Edwin... actually, no I wouldn't.

Imoen answered the question before her sister could. “I’m going to blow the lock, after which, the Sarge’ll be gracious enough to toss in one of these.” She held up a flashbang grenade. “The boom ought to disorient anyone inside and buy us a little time… about five seconds, give or take…”

Nalia looked skeptical. “Give or take how much?”

“Um. About five seconds.”

Tarant: Well, five seconds can be a long time. At least for someone with Imoen's attention span...

Imoen: Look! A dog chasing its tail!

“We’re on it,” Boo replied, cracking her hamster knuckles. Minsc pulled himself away from sentry duty and let Boo go to work. “Never met a Dominion firewall I couldn’t cut my way through.” She grumbled as her intrusion algorithms sliced through a bit of badly-programmed, sub-par, software security as easily as a hot knife through butter. “Ugly, green bastards don’t know who they’re messing with…”

Tarant: They'd probably laugh if they did.

“I’ll be working on that. Once we’ve got global control of the base’s systems, we’ll try and trap our orc pals someplace convenient, and if we can’t swing that, it’ll have to be Plan D…” She frowned. “Or E… or whatever we’re up to now.”

Imoen stuck her head out and smiled up at her older sister. “Cheer up, Lynn… we’ve still got F through Z plans.”

Imoen: Then, you can start using numbers.

“I’d put money on it. One of the security doors has already been breached, but they’ve got a few more to get through before they’re free and clear. Should keep them busy for a good while. Question is, do we go after ‘em?”

“No, not yet. But keep an eye on those sensor displays. Make sure that if they’re close to getting loose, we know all about it. Don’t lose ‘em, Immy.”

She scoffed at the implication. “As if.”

Imoen: It would certainly be embarassing to loose even one Orc, let alone a horde of them.

(Shrug) Yeah, well, I wouldn't be surprised if there was Kosh/Sheridan slash, too. People will pair up -anybody-. Granted, I'm more amenable to some pairings than others. Oracle/Black Canary, anyone? Anyone?

I don't know. Just can't see Canary in a relationship right now... although, I don't suppose that actually matters. I think Shiva may have the hots for her though.

Still, I'm waiting to see Aerie/Imoen, since Aerie's the only female NPC I feel Imoen could believably fall in love with. But then, it doesn't have to be slash at all. It could be perfectly innocent stuff going on... like it's a cold night, the fire goes out... the two snuggle together under a blanket using each others bodies to keep warm. Not sexual... but still, a very moving image.

Er... that's just something I thought of just now... just off the top of my head. It's really not something I think about that often at all. Really.

Whats a buffer?

It's this crazy thing I'm trying to build, but it keeps collapsing... (grumble)

Tarant: Well, five seconds can be a long time. At least for someone with Imoen's attention span...

Imoen: Look! A dog chasing its tail!

Raven: "Ours does that sometimes, too."

Harlequin: "Oooooh, shiny!"

Imoen: Then, you can start using numbers.

Harlequin: "Or letters in other languages..."

I don't know. Just can't see Canary in a relationship right now... although, I don't suppose that actually matters. I think Shiva may have the hots for her though.

(Snort) Yeah... that's exactly why she decided to switch places with Dinah and go join the Birds...

;)

While I'm not against the whole idea of Shiva being one of the "good guys" now, I think it's total crap that, apparently, in order to make Shiva good, they had to make Cass bad.

Harlequin: "Er... um... look... I like Seraph... but... not like that."

Raven: "So, if you were in danger of freezing to death, you wouldn't huddle together for warmth?"

Harlequin: "That's different. This is... snuggling... that's not the same."

Er... that's just something I thought of just now... just off the top of my head. It's really not something I think about that often at all. Really.

Eh, it's ok. My brain's been in worse places recently. ;)

Done!

I'm going to seed for a while, just in case you still need to grab it.

Gnnnh, I'm still at 51%. Oh well, at least there are lots of people seeding, so it'll get here eventually.

I was downloading at like 50 KB/s max... which is actually kinda slow. I'm guessing there weren't all -that- many seeds. Usually, I can get rates upwards of 200 or so.

Well, anyway, like I said, I'll leave my machine seeding for a while. We should be using the same torrent since I used the link you gave me, so hopefully, my computer's helping you get those files.

I sometimes get it as high too, but only from local Latvian trackers. My foreign traffic is pretty sucky - 40KB/s is heavenly, 20KB/s is about the average. So it takes a lot of time. :)

At least it's better than dial-up. (Snorts)

Still, geez... I'm guessing you're on cable? It's weird, but I think the cable modem I have at home is actually slower than the DSL we have at the office. I don't get that.

Door breach maneuever? In Republic Commando, I much prefered slicing. Much quieter. :P

Falynn sighed. She rubbed the side of her head; it still hurt. “Right. Where were we?”

*unfolds make and points out the big yellow 'you are here'-arrow.*

...

Hey, it's 23.08 and I've had a long day, so sue me. :P

Nalia looked skeptical. “Give or take how much?”

“Um. About five seconds.”

:)

The comm tech groaned and rolled her eyes.

Raven clicked a forty-millimeter grenade into the breech of the grenade launcher slung under the barrel of her assault rifle. The weapon would be dangerous to use in close quarters, but it was still a good idea to keep it loaded (though safetied) when in the thick of a combat zone. “Anyway, we blitz in and shoot anything that’s green and still moving. Simple. Everyone got that? Good. Let’s hit it.”

Hm, Tempest? Where's Tempest. We need more Tempest in this story! :D :D :P

“Hear that, Vix? Someone thinks I’m excellent.

The half-elf snorted disdainfully as she took up a guard post near the door they’d all just finished barging through. “Well, that makes two of you.”

Hey, I've heard that one before. :P

A breathy sigh. “For the last time… I’m not bad! I’m just… rendered that way!”

Yep. Blame the good people at Nvidia. :)

“I’d put money on it. One of the security doors has already been breached, but they’ve got a few more to get through before they’re free and clear. Should keep them busy for a good while. Question is, do we go after ‘em?”

Heheh, I just bet she's gonna lose 'em. :D
