Adrian was slashing desperately into the scales of the Dragon. He was gladdened when Viconia came up besided him and added her weapon. But then Adalon batted them both with a claw, and they went flying.

Anomen closed in as they passed, and started hammering away at one foot. On one side of him was the Planetar, on the other was the Frozen Slayer that Imoen had become.

Adalon brough up her other front foot again, meaning to swat the Frozen Slayer as it had Adrian and Viconia. But when the silver wyrm tried it, the Frozen Slayer simply absorbed the impact. Pain juddered up the draconic limb, and Adalon stared unbeleivingly down at the Slayer.

The monstous face of the Frozen Slayer looked back at the Silver Dragon, and to Adalon's horror, the Slayer almost seeme to smile.

Then it turned and bit Adalon's front foot, hard, breaking off two of the Dragon's claws.

Adalon screamed.

Edwin and Jan were throwing pretty much everything they had at the Dragon, that would not also hurt their friends. His spells exhausted, Jan switched to his trusty crossbow.

Viconia stood, groggily, and cried out to Shar. A bolt of pure, darkest night appeared from nowhere and slammed into the Dragon, who shivered.

Zavrian had recovered, and reached up, yanking his blades out of the silver belly. He rolled out from under before she could crush him again, and joined the Fallen Planetar and Frozen Slayer in attacking Adalon's left front foot.

The Frozen Slayer and Fallen Planetar seemed to have some sort of understanding; they worked together well as they ripped and tore at the giant foot. With Zavrian's help, Adalon was soon hobbling along on a bloody stump.

As Adrian sat up dazedly, the Dragon spun all the way around, knocking everyone down, then breathed on the party.

Korgan desperately scuttled backwards, trying not to die again.

The breath of silvery pain brought Tree back to consciousness. She dazedly grabbed for her staff as Edwin and Jan cast another spell...

Cool and tense action scene - not sure what else to say, since I always find it difficult to comment on battle scenes. It does make me wonder whether Adrian's or Imoen's Slayer form would be the most powerful, and what would be the difference between their Slayer abilities.
Rogues do it from behind.

Adrian's is the more powerful, as he is the more powerful Bhaalspawn. But Imoen's form compensates for that somewhat due to the additional cold damage she does.

Ouch! :D

Adalon screamed.

I certainly would.

Let's hope Adalon didn't have any garlic the night past.
