I've always liked the drow section - it's my favourite part of the game (not sure what that says about me as a person... ;)) It's very atmospheric.

Yep, the drow section is very well made, and if you play with the solaufein mod it get better.

Loved this chapter - makes you realise how hard it must be to masquerade as a drow. It's lucky they have Jaheira with them, or they'd get exposed pretty quickly I should think!

Welcome newcomer, or have you been lurking for long

Oh it's a very good section all right. But the drow culture makes me feel really ill and the section illustrates it very well.

Jarran: It's easy to act like a drow. I just pretend I'm Sarevok.

LOL. ;) That gave me the best laugh of the day.

Sarevok: What?!

From the game point of view, I will admit that it is a very well done part of the game.

Thank you, I'm glad you liked it! And thanks for commenting.

I'm sure your version will be quite different... especially the Phaere offer. :)

Tease... :)

Without giving too much away, Viconia will anticipate that.
The road to the abyss may be paved with good intentions, but it is those with bad intentions that race down that road as fast as they can.

"That is easy for you to say! How would you feel if the illusion made you as tall as an ogre? How will I fight when everything is out of proportion?"

True. Poor Mazzy.

"I was tired of his bumbling, Mother. He allowed my new robes to become soiled."

"Foolish brat! You wasted a valuable slave merely because your vanity was insulted? And make no mistake, he was worth more than a mere male child. You will be far less difficult to replace!" She removed a whip from her waistband.

Obviously she forgot to tell him about survival of the fittest.

As they went inside the inn, Jaheira murmured, "So you think Valygar is less risky?"

"He has a lot of experience in self-control. Besides, Imoen has been spending more time with Anomen lately."

yeah...he's been celebate for years, but perhaps given all things that fact would make him more risky... It's gonna drive Ano crazy I'll bet.

He frowned, and said, "But I must ask, why are you the leader when there are females among you?"

Good point. One that I didn't think of having not made it to Ust Natha with my male bard....

Before Jarran could speak, Jaheira stepped forward. "Veldrin is being tested. I will not have an incompetent fathering my daughters. My house requires strong blood, and a weakling is useless to me."

Good save!

[

Jarran held his head high and said, "Call me whatever you like. Words are nothing next to steel, and I have sufficient... for the battlefield and for the bedchamber."

OOOOHH! You go, Jarran!

The drow laughed. "I like your spirit. That spirit will serve you well, if you know when to quell it. But no matter. One of the Matron Mothers has taken an interest in your arrival and wishes to avail herself of your skills. She has sent a Handmaiden to speak with you. Come, let me shepherd you to her. It would seem I have nothing more important to do."

Now things are warming up! Great chapter. I hope we see more of Soleufein and I can't wait to see how things work out with Immy and Valygar....and Ano.

As usual, a great little piece of work...Makes me really want 2 leave my Holy Avenger and pick up the pen

Ooooh, please do, please do. We miss you!

:D Is that a challenge my sword wielding beauty? Then, as soon as i manage to find a little spate time I'll start the laborius task of , as Sthephen King sais, "finding the hole in the paper", in order to bring you a story about a righteous goodie-goodie 2 shoes paladin who has a murderous deity as father and, if u believe it, is in love with a drow.
Hmmm, i might consider making him a fallen paladin, what do u think?
:D or  ?

*just curious*

Sorry, wrong answer.... I made some stupid mistakes in my life, but I've never ever wrote my own sweet name in such a dreadful fashion. My family would see me hanged for it, and Minsc would kick my hiney for changing his party leader's name. So, IF u want the full list:
Aurelius, cavalier, level 33
Strenght 19
Dexterity19
Constitution19
Wisdom 13
Intelligence 10
Charisma20

Oops, I'm afraid I made the same mistake. I should have looked closer. But in Mark's defense, that name has appeared both ways in assorted texts. The hazards of translation.

It is something she will have to work on.

Some people do dumb things no matter what they are taught.

Hehehehe, wait and see....

He frowned, and said, "But I must ask, why are you the leader when there are females among you?"

I found it surprising that they didn't say *something* about it in the game.

Before Jarran could speak, Jaheira stepped forward. "Veldrin is being tested. I will not have an incompetent fathering my daughters. My house requires strong blood, and a weakling is useless to me."

It is a very drow answer.

Jarran held his head high and said, "Call me whatever you like. Words are nothing next to steel, and I have sufficient... for the battlefield and for the bedchamber."

OOOOHH! You go, Jarran!

Also a very drow answer. They're getting the hang of things.

The drow laughed. "I like your spirit. That spirit will serve you well, if you know when to quell it. But no matter. Yes, Sol will appear fairly frequently in the Underdark chapters. He gets to talk a little more than the few grumbles the game gives him.
