Bethphel's Diary is not only my first (and hopefully, not last) novel. It is also the way the Attic started.

Little did I suspect that my modest attempt at writing a story-like walkthrough of the game of Baldur's Gate would turn into a full-blown novel, well beyond the game's original storyline though rooted in it. Come to think of it, I never thought I could write a novel, period! Then the Attic came about, though you probably should read about it in the History of the Attic forum.

Without revealing too much, I'd only say that in Bethphel's Diary, my anti-hero, while brazen and selfish at first, undergoes a major transformation by the end. She feels, she loves, betrays and is betrayed, knows torment and confusion of spirit, learns both forgiveness and repentance, and in the end is redeemed... and if you read it, you'll see how.
