Meh. I really think it just boils down to "We wanted to create the strong, silent type of character". You see those in so many places, after all. It's just one of the common archetypes, I guess.

Problem is, it's all too easy to make those characters into 'strong, boring character'. Kivan is a good example of that, the man just grunts! Valygar is better, he has a personality at least, but in the game, he still feels underdeveloped. Besides, my general impression in RL, is that the 'strong silent' guys are often silent because they don't have anything worthwhile to say.

No, give me somebody nicely verbal any day. ;)

A great shame, that they didn't do more with T3.

I suppose there's not all -that- much you can do. Droids are supposed to be pretty advanced, but I doubt all of them are fully sentient. Plus, astromechs weren't intended to do a lot of direct interfacing with people, the way protocol droids were, so I suppose it makes some sense that you can't really "talk" to T3. Wish they'd done more with T3/HK banter. I always found it funny that R2D2 was apparently a bit of a potty mouth (judging by C3PO's reactions), so you'd imagine that a droid like T3 would get along famously with HK. They could trade insults in machine language, or threaten to turn the other into scrap metal. ;)

Oh, that *would* have been great! :) I'd have loved to have more HK banters in general.
Rogues do it from behind.

Preferably black, to fit the name.
Yeah, what was up with that? The ship wasn't even black... it was just... ugly. I don't know. I think the point was that it was supposed to be a Corellian ship design... like the precursor to the YT series. (The Millennium Falcon is a YT-1300) Hence the kind of circular design with the offset cockpit and all that stuff. But the Falcon still looked kinda sleek, whereas the Hawk seems to have definite weight problems. I'm not saying the thing needed to look like an X-wing, but let's be reasonable. What good's a ship that's supposed to be fast, if it doesn't also look the part? Bah. Humbug. ;)
Something that looks a bit like this:

Mind, there are people who will shoot at you for having that.

Not bad, but I was thinking something more like this:

Now -THAT- is a sweet ride. :)

Alpha,

First off, Im glad you got the killboard to post. It makes me feel all special inside.

Second, lovely chapter, it's interesting to hear about Immy's little "accident." I did have the strangest urge to call her Imoen Skywalker for a moment, but it passed.

Great Chapter,
-Blue

Awwwww... ;)

I've been doing that, myself. Don't worry about it. It's ok. :)

Hehe... Somebody had to do the killboard, right? And who better than Harlequin - she would.

“Jaheira got one.” Imoen began to draw the silhouette of a shapely woman, then grimaced noticeably. She turned to the side and took a quick glance at the medic who was busy talking to Falynn. Imoen’s frown deepened a bit more, and she flipped the pencil over in her hand. She applied the eraser end to the datapad surface, clearing part of the image she’d just drawn and redoing it, making it a touch more… “top-heavy.”

*snigger*

I'm kinda surprised you didn't go for such renditions in the little graphic you posted, but...

I just finished reading through Zero Gambit. Ouchah, poor Immy. Now we see what's been eating at Falynn. They're both in need of a good hug, you know?

Imoen Skywalker? Uuh, no.

Like it, Alpha. Keep at it. (I'll let you know if I come up with something, err, twisted...!)

She -is- the competitive one.

(Chuckle) Well, I posted it, but Blue drew it, and she sent it to me before I'd even written the chapter, so the written version is different from the illustrated, but it still gets the idea across, which is more than enough for me.

(Nod) :D

Well, I wasn't actually going to call her that. It was a passing image. The fake hand stays, though. That's kinda... er... set in stone, now. But yeah... (Sigh) Poor kid.

I'll let you know if I come up with something, err, twisted...!

Should I be worried? Should I start moving rations into that bomb shelter? :D
