You know, on another forum I was, I had a lot of fun converting all kind of Characters to The Sims, then mostly leaving them to their own devices and write status reports on them. (trying my best to come up with possible explanations, and letting others do the explaining for themselves)

And what could me more fun than have our assorted Dragonslayers, Lichkillers, Bandithunters and all around heroes and villains face the HORROR of everyday life?

Now, I only hav the Sims plain and simple, so if anyone has the time, inclination and perhaps some more expansion packs, by all means, steal the isea. ;) But I like the idea anyway.

So, if you wanna sign up.

Name:
Description: (or even better, find a skin you think fits your character)
Personality:
5 charactersitics with IIRC 25 points to divide among
Extrovertness
Friendliness:
Tidiness:
Activeness:
Playfulness

Carreer: Which, on the top of my head are: Police, Medical world, Coorporation, Army, Crime, Extreme Activities (skydiving and such. Actually, ALL adventurers could fall under this) Police, Sport, Acting, Politics, Science and I think one other I can't think off right now (if someone knos, by all means)

Also, the question whether we'll intervene a bit ourselves? Make sure some relations are at the.... proper level?

Oh, now this sounds FUNNY! Yes, I have to get involved. Make sure to keep the screen-cap feature handy if anything too amusing happens.

Name: Harrian
Description: I forget the skins that come with normal Sims. Dark hair and goatee, and I recall a few faces with that. Snazzy clothing - maybe suit and bow tie (just to go with Oryx's 'secret agent' comments)

Personality:
Extrovertness: 7
Friendliness: 6
Tidiness: 2
Activeness: 4
Playfulness: 6

What career? For Harrian? Do you need even ask? Crime!

Heheh. I look forward to this. Intervening ourselves isn't necessarily... necessary. Yet. ;)

I'll just add Talek as well. I say we wait till we have 8 (if we can manage) before I actually start the family.

Talek
Extrovertness: 3
Friendliness: 2
Tidiness: 8
Activeness: 7
Playfulness: 5

Carreer: hmmm, in doubt between sports and army really... Or maybe I'll just let Talek stay at home. He's not the kinda guy that is good at taking orders.

Name: Brynn
Description: Athletic, petite blonde.

Personality: Helpful, energetic, very friendly.

Extrovertness: 6
Friendliness: 6
Tidiness: 2
Activeness: 7
Playfulness: 4

Job: Police. I like the sound of "Officer Trueblade"

Of course, since I don't have the sims, someone will have to take care of this for me.

Hehehe, no need to steal, I beat you to this idea by a mile. I have a long-running neighborhood populated entirely by BG2 sims. Jarran and Jaheira invite Keldorn and Maria over for dinner. Anomen and Silrana built a castle. Sarevok and Tamoko live in a lovely Japanese-style house with a garden in the back. Minsc is a pro-athlete, and Yoshimo is a journalist (yes, Weyoun, I got that idea from you.) All over the neighborhood, adventurers live a sim life.

I even used this for The Sims Online. The city of Interhogan has a Jarran living in it, and Test Center has a resident named Valygar (also a Yoshimo and Anomen, but they aren't me.)

So, if you wanna sign up.

Also, the question whether we'll intervene a bit ourselves? Make sure some relations are at the.... proper level?

I'm at work at the moment, but I'll provide Jarran's stats later.

A-HAH, but my idea has ALL the Bhaalspawn in a house, making it of course, superior to ours! So there!

Heh, nah, welcome aboard. In fact, I must confess hat while my internet was being troublesome, I started my own game without your consent. I'll post the report. But I'll start over. More fun when people are... involved.

Onyx: Paladin of Lathander

Laska: Elven heroine and warrior

Kane: Battle hardened former shadow thief.

Jarran: Skald and toucher of people’s soul.

Adrian: Cold, ambitious and calculating mercenary

Zaerini: Bard, rogue and trickster.

Talek: Violent and emotional swordsman.

Theodur: passionate but guilt ridden ranger.

Eight different Bhaalspawn. One housee. Not, it’s not Big Brother… it’s The Sims.

After shamelessly stealing all characters without any worry about whether I can even start about doing them justice, and cheerfully dumping them in Simcity with some money, a house, a sum of money and the necessary knowledge and skill to survive, let’s see how our group of people survives.

First of all though, inventory time.

The house:
1: Living room/kitchen
1 Fridge (able to magically produce food if given money)
1 microwave (selected by Laska who thus unwillingly revealed that she could cook and will thus get stuck with cooking duty)
1 kitchen mixer (see above)
Assorted tables to place the kitchen equipment and dishes
One TV (Bought by Laska and Talek when they saw an action movie on it. Rini and Jarran were slightly insulted that they weren’t entertainment enough, but they wanted to watch some TV as well.)
1 sofa (Once again bought by Laska and Talek)
1 table with six chairs (Bought by Onyx and Adrian, who did not agree with Talek and Laska that ‘everyone could eat on the sofa or on the ground, no prob’)
1 phone: (After Rini was caught by Onyx doing voice impersonations to make crank calls, she was told to stop it under pain of losing phone privelidges.)
2 lamps
2: Bedchamber:
8 Low luxury beds. (Bought by Adrian who kept an eye on the cash. When he saw Laska, Theodur, Kane and Rini looks wistfully at the big bed with the pink heart he reminded them that their lovers weren’t here and they’d pick economical beds, getting him a lot of dirty glares.)
1 lamp
3+4: 2 bathrooms Each containing
1 toilet (unanimously chosen as the best new thing of this age, beating even the TV with a wide margin.)
1 shower (Talek investigated the shampoo rather interestedly)
1 bathroom sink

Wallpaper and floors were chosen by Onyx, who did a fine job, except he let himself be inspired by Lathander for the bedroom, resulting in a bedroom that was Imoenish in pinkness.

The characters have entered the house and are walking around… I’m planning on giving reports now and then (hoping I won’t forget it)

First observation shows that everyone is rather fond of the TV…and the toilets. Talek is probably feeling once more rather isolated as he can’t join the others in their TV watching because it’s too crowded. Oh… they’re watching horror, and from the noises, people don’t like it yet continue watching. How quickly they adapt. Adrian and Zaerini are the ones who managed to get the sofa. Only Kane and Jarran seem to have no interest.

Soon, two of the inherent neighbours come and visit. Kane seemed to feel social, rushing to greet them, leaving Laska and Jarran in the dirt.

Talek seems to like horror movies, except he’s constantly clapping and laughing. I assume this is not TOO surprising.

Talek: Come on! Yeah! Do that chainsaw thing! WOOOHOOO… See the blood fly. Take that, preppy bitch!
Theodur: I’m starting to WISH this was Big Brother… we could vote someone off.

As we didn’t have too much money left, we looked in the newspaper for jobs. There was an ad of the local mafia looking for pick-pockets. It was decided that Kane was the one with the best survival skills in those circles. And Rini can help him with some practical hints regarding pickpocketting.

Note to Onyx. We know you like the sun, and paladins like to talk to the people they protect, but must you REALLY keep Cora outside for hours talking to her?

Apparently, there is little trust among the Bhaalspawn. Everyone makes his own food. Until Theodur suddenly feels like cooking lunch for the gathering. By then, half the people have already eaten though. Actually, Kane DID prepare his own meal, but when someone else shoved him aside to get the the equipement, he dropped it, and Rini snatched it from the ground and happily ate it instead.

Furthermore, as many of the Bhaalspawn aren’t the neatest persons, the house was soon after littered with dirty plates. The guests were the most enthusiast about cleaning.

Rini doesn’t seem to be her sharp self. I mean, the sofa DOES look comfy, but going to sleep while the TV is on just in front? And then complain when you can’t sleep?

Laska on the other hand, snuck in the bathroom while the female guest, Cora was using it. This could be normal for Laska. She did forget however that Cora was married. In fact, her husband was ALSO in the bathroom. Said husband reacted by trying to tickle Laska, but it seems the elven beauty wasn’t really fond of that.

Euh… Adrian… euh… I’m not entirely sure how to put this…. For some reason he decided to eat while he already needed to go to the bathroom pretty badly…and then he had to clean the table and… well… there was a little… accident. I can only assume all witnesses have received the appropriate death threats.

Oh Onyx: I don’t know whether you didn’t know or didn’t care about them..or whether they just wouldn’t leave… but you stepped out of the shower skyclad. In front of Theodur, Talek AND Laska. When he had to take a wiz he DID demand privacy, only to be rudely interruptedwhen Jarran came in to do the dishes. (no kitchen sink)

More fun with evening showers as Theodur, apparently not satisfied with Onyx, casually walked in as Rini was leaving the shower. He’s gonna have Jaheira AND Edwin out for his ass if he keps this up.

Talek, for reasons I cannot even begin to understand, took the food that Kane cooked as the late evening meal and threw it all down the sink. A bit too overeager maybe. He then decided to go to bed. Except Onyx walked to the same bed as him. Hmmm… Of course, Theodur had just before that occupied the bed next to them. Ah well… with two women and six men, I guess these things are inevitable.

Ah BLOODY HELL… first night and we get a burglar… say bye bye to the TV guys… And bye to the microwave…

Next morning… Onyx and Theodur are the first to get up (6.30) Theodur starts his day with a healthy bag of chips, Onyx decides to honour the breaking dawn by going to the bathroom…

Talek narrowly managed to avoid joining Adrian in the… unfortunate fate… What is it with evil swordsmen and potty problems?

Wooohoo… good luck strikes… the wallet someone of us found and returned to the police (so we’re probably talking Onyx) wasn’t asked and we get all the cash inside… RETURN OF THE TV! And the microwave and kitchen appliance…and an anti burglar alert.

The Bhaalspawn family shows themselves to be a big bunch of TV addicts once more (except Kane, since he’s off picking pockets and making money) Talek and Adrian make themselves useful by doing the dishes. Oh… someone managed to find the remote and change the channel to romance. Once again, generally little enthusiasm (but they KEEP watching) Grand exception is Rini, who laughs her ass off. Update: Talek ALSO likes romance. Maybe he’s just amused by anything that moves.

I decided that Adrian wouldn’t become a mercenary in this modern world. After all, he wanted luxury and power… Adrian shall not stop before he is the CEO of Bhaalspawn Inc. So that’s two of the three evil Bhaalspawn that have jobs.

Ah Gods! I really have to do something about the availability of toilets… Laska joined Adrian in the ‘oops’ hall of shame…

On other notes… assume that everyone has seen everyone in the buff by now… Also, everyone seems to have the undeniable urge to try to sleep on the sofa with the TV on and then complain about it.

Aaaaaan… YES, we have our first beak down. Laska managed to break the bathroom sink while doing the dishes… just when Theodur wanted to take a shower in that bathroom.

Got to hand it to Kane… he might be cruel and rather cold hearted. But he’s nice to live with. Almost midnight and everyone’s asleep, and the guy started cleaning the bathroom… AFTER being the only one that earned money that day. Of course, the bathroom will be full of water again next time someone uses the sink…. Next time ended up being Kane doing the dishes after a late night meal… I think Talek might be a bad influence on him.

Next day, 6 o clock and most Bhaalspawn are out. Except Kane and Adrian… the people earning the cash. Theodur and Jarran have a small row about who gets to shower first, while Talek sees his plans for a morning wiz foiled by a shower of Onyx… damn pesky paladins getting in the way fo evil even when it has to go. Onyx then decided the shower had to die for the sake of goodness.

Figure that… Rini prepares breakfast. Adrian smells it from the bedroom and gets out of bed to eat, but alas… by the time he reached it, all the lazy unemployed good bums (and evil bum) have fallen upon the food like ravenous ravens…. Adrian is just having a bad couple of days I guess.

Deciding that our family needs friends, I had Onyx invite Cora, the woman with whom he talked for hours outside the first day… While they seem to have NO mutual interests, they sure talk a lot. Extra note. They DO have a common interest… flowers.

BWAHAHAHAHAHA! This is utterly hilarious! :P I started out my own Bhaalspawn family once (including Edwin's family, *and* Andorel, *and* Imoen...but I gave up on that before bloodshed started.)

So, the Evil Bhaalspawn are the responsible breadwinners so far, are they? And Rini seems to be enjoying herself - no potty accidents at least. *makes note *not* to let Edwin know about the Shower Incident*

Rini: I still want that bed...with the big heart...and the remote! Oh...still no Eddie? All right, how about a *really* good sound system then?
Rogues do it from behind.

Hehehe, well I don't use anyone else's Bhaalspawn, so I will bow to you there. :P

Heh, nah, welcome aboard. In fact, I must confess hat while my internet was being troublesome, I started my own game without your consent. I'll post the report. But I'll start over. More fun when people are... involved.

Hey, no problem. You don't have to start over. Here are the stats, and if yours are anywhere near, don't bother to change.

Name: Jarran

Description: There are several dark-haired males with beards, so take your pick.

Personality: He's a skald, what more do you want?

Extrovertness: 6
Friendliness: 7
Tidiness: 3
Activeness: 3
Playfulness: 6

And he's a Libra.

Career: Hmm, is Musician an expansion pack career? I have all the packs, so I can't remember. If so, Entertainer is good.

Oh, and Jarran's favorite Fun object is the electric guitar, if it is available.

Still three places available in the family. Laufey? Feel like giving your stats for Zaerini (I predict HIGH playfulness)

*thinks*

Can't remember what the stats I orginally picked for her were, but something like this should do it:

Extrovertness: 4

Friendliness: 4

Tidiness: 2

Activeness: 3

Playfulness: 12 or so. (How high does it go?)

Hmmm...she really needs to have very high playfulness, but friendliness should probably be a bit higher. Oh well...this will do, I think. :)

Theo: :) I won't tell, if you won't!

Rini: I still want that bed...with the big heart...and the remote! Oh...still no Eddie? All right, how about a *really* good sound system then?

Theo: *sulkily* Do they really not have hours for visitors? That's... sad... :D

Extrovertness: 4

Friendliness: 6

Tidiness: 2

Activeness: 3

Playfulness: 10

Only Goes up to 10, so the two points lost go to friendliness

/me looks at the tidiness scores.

Consideirng all other Bhaalspawn are SLOBS, I think I'm gonna leave Talek at home so SOMEONE keeps the house in good order.

Talek: What, so I have to be a stay at home-mom? Hey! That wasn't the deal!

(and Theo, why doesn't Theodur join? We only need two more people. Okay, okay... maybe Talek and Theodur living together isn't THE best idea ever, but hey...)

Okay, despite my general ignorance of the Sims, I guess I could muster some stats for Theo, if you still need a character... :D

Theo's description -> you can pretty mych base his appearance on my avatar.

Personality would be:
Extrovertness: 2
Friendliness: 4
Tidiness: 8
Activeness: 3
Playfulness: 8

Career: Well, whatever would be appropriate for a ranger and protector of nature. Could be somehow connected with law upholding institutions. Definitely not a Greenpeace activist. :)

Wooohooo... one more and we have a family... (and theo is a cleanfreak too. That may mean Theodur and Talek are in charge of keeping the house clean together... BROOM FIGHT!)

Now a question... What's the name of our dysfunctional gathering gonna be? Bhaalsen is the firs obvious choice, but I don't think our family will be so happy with that. Attica? Spawn?

This is cool! I don't have the sims, but here is my guess at the stats for Elshana, if you want.

Extrovertness: 3

Friendliness: 6

Tidiness: 4

Activeness: 7

Playfulness: 5

Description: Black-haired, slender.

Personality: She is distant except among those she knows well. Curious about everything, she will likely be found with her head in a book, though if not reading, she will not sit still for long.

Career: Either Science or sports.

Talek: Oh NO, bad enough you stick me in the same house with that ranger bastard, I don't want to sleep under the same roof as that treacherous... why is your smile growing wider?

Scribe: No reason.
