The Flat Dereth Society (Asheron's Call)

The Flat Dereth Society is an organization in Frostfell of Dereth that has taken it upon themselves to debunk the various items of propaganda that exist solely to suggest that our world is akin to a ball, or round. Clearly, any reasonable person can see that Dereth has boundaries. There is ample evidence to support this, the simplest being what your own eyes tell you! Consider, if Dereth was round then when you looked at distant places all you could see would be the very tops of mountains. Of course, this is just not so!

We are a simple folk, and this site reflects this. There will be no fancy graphics or interesting programming tricks; such devices only serve to detract from our message. So, you may ask, how do we seek to prove that the scientists and politicians are wrong, and demonstrate the flatness of this great land? The answer lies in simple exploration. As an allegiance we seek to uncover every spot of Dereth, for in finding no suggestions that Dereth is curved, we shall show that it is not. This mission is open to those at all levels of skill, as there are many more areas of little danger than those full of peril.

This is not a site full of original content. We believe that what was good enough for those that come before us is certainly good enough for us! The Code of Conduct is the same that we followed in Ispar. Lore contains various interpretations of the writings we have found in Dereth. The Quests section gives information on various places our members may choose to explore, and borrows liberally from the writings of those that have come before. Of course, credit is certainly given where it is due.

The Event Calendar provides our members with information on get-togethers and group hunts. Tales contains original writings, and Guides and Templates is included as a method by which our more experienced members can impart their wisdom to the newly arrived.. The Message Boards are there so that we may better communicate, and lastly, the Allegiance Contacts and Family Tree serve as modest introductions of our members.

No matter your origins, you are welcome here. Aluvian, Sho, and Gharund'im alike are welcome to walk the land with us. We make no judgement regarding your skills or weapon of choice either. So long as you are happy with yourself, we shall be happy with you! Come see us sometime, we make our home near Zaikhal (10.4N, 5.6W), where the temperatures are neither too warm nor too cold.
